1st Annual "State of our Community" Luncheon — Downtown
On February 9th at the Hilton Miami Downtown, 1601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm the Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce will host an important annual State of Our Community luncheon, focusing on the coming years most important legislative issues with particular attention to those topics which impact the LGBT Community. The Mayors who will be featured will be; The Honorable Carlos A. Gimenez, Mayor, Miami-Dade County; The Honorable Tomás Regalado, Mayor, City of Miami; The Honorable Jim Cason, Mayor, City of Coral Gables; and the Honorable Matti Herrara-Bower, Mayor, City of Miami Beach. Stratton Pollitzer, Deputy Director, Equality Florida and CJ Ortuno, Executive Director, SAVE Dade will conclude the luncheon with a summary of the local/state LGBT Legislative items. 4th Annual LGBT Explore/EXPO — Design District
MDGLCC in partnership with the GMCVB and with the participation of the GLBT Travel Expo presents its 4th Annual LGBT Explore / EXPO at the Moore Building in the Design District (191 NE 40th Street, Miami, FL 33137) on Sunday, February 12th, 2012 from noon - 5 pm. More than 100 vendors, suppliers, companies, and organizations showcasing their products and services catered to the LGBT community. Food, beverages, entertainment, and drawing for great prizes. Gay & Lesbian Walking Tours of South Beach — South Beach
The MDGLCC, Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Miami Design Preservation League (MDPL), present a ninety-minute guided Gay & Lesbian Walking Tour of South Florida. Tour start at 5:00pm and depart from the MDPL Art Deco Welcome Center at Ocean Dr. and 10th St. Miami Beach. Reservations are not required.
